The is one member of the L7590A family which is designed as the telephone ringing driver that produces a low-frequency sinusoidal ringing signal for analog telephone loops.This device is optimized for low power dissipation and is available in a 16-pin, surface-mount package.Features of the L7590AAE are:(1)requires 5 V, a high-value negative DC supply, and a digital input sequence;(2)low power dissipation in idle and ringing modes;(3)built-in current limiting;(4)ringing capability:40 Vrms into 5 North American REN and 30 mApeak into 4 German REN;(5)applies a battery-backed, single-ended, sinusoidal ringing signal to the telephone loop.
